Описание работы

The theme of the course paper is “The Types of Written Translation”. We choose this topic because there is nothing easy or simple about translation, even as there is nothing easy or simple about any human activity. It only looks easy because you are used to doing it. Anyone who is good at a certain activity can make it appear easy, even though, when we pause to think, we realize there is nothing easy about it. The purpose of the present work is to study the problems of written translation.  to achieve this purpose it is necessary to find solve to the following tasks:  to give the definition to the notion “translation” and;  to look through the main types of translation;  to find out the difference between written and oral translation;  to look through the written translation procedures, strategies and methods;  to define the problems of written translation;  to analyze written translation of the novel “Theatre” by S. Maugham. The course paper consists of introduction where we explained the reason of choosing the topic, the actuality and aim with objectives of the work; two chapters – theoretical where translation in general is described, given characteristics and differences of oral and written translations; in practical part we looked through the types of written translation and gave many examples to them, and analyzes the examples of the novel “Theatre”.
