Actuality of our investigation is that human beings are developing throughout the time and they develop and enrich the culture and language. Shakespeare’s unique style gave birth to new directions in English language of his time, many new word and phraseological units were discovered and explored in his plays by scientists, bibliographers, translators.
Thus, we can point out the main purpose of the present diploma investigation: to analyse the style of William Shakespeare, namely the style of his tragedies. To reach this purpose we should regard the following tasks:
- to give definition and describe main characteristics of style in general,
- to assign he structure and types of style,
- to determine Shakespeare’s style of writing, his language and his contribution to English phraseology,
- to compare Shakespeare’s comedy and tragedy in styles,
- to look through the developing of character in tragedies,
- to study the substance of Shakespearean tragedy,
- to see how tragedies are constructed,
- to describe the tragic period of Shakespeare when he wrote the most magnificent of his tragedies,
- to study the language and style of the greatest tragedy of William Shakespeare “Hamlet”,
- to look the world view of Shakespearean tragedy.
Novelity of the present investigation is that many researchers tried to analyze Shakespeare’s style of tragedies and there are so manydifferent opinions made that we tried to gather them together and bring out our own investigation of his language and make our contribution in this difficult discussion.
