The novelty of the research is to study the difficulties of translation the titles of books, films and paper headlines from English into Kazakh with a help of Vinay and Darbelnet’s translation model.
The aim of the research was to identify difficulties of translation the titles of books, films and paper headlines from English into Kazakh. To achieve this aim we have identified the following tasks to be solved in the frame of the research:
• to study Vinay and Darbelnet’s translation model
• to find out techniques of translation
• to analyze peculiarities of translation of literary titles, titles of movies and newspaper headlines
Methodology
For the identification of the translation method used in thetranslation of the English books, films and paper titlesinto Kazakh, the model of translation procedures suggested byJ.-P. Vinay and J. Dalbernet was chosen, basically due tothe fact that the model had been developed on the basis ofcomparative stylistic analysis of English texts.
The model offers a very clear classification of translationprocedures and was therefore considered most relevant tothis study. Moreover, this model has been widelyacknowledged and applied by translation researchers.
