Those in the vocabulary involved the loss of a large part of the Old English word-stock and the addition of thousands of words from French and Latin. At the beginning of the period English is a language that must be learned like a foreign tongue; at the end it is Modern English. Topicality of the course work is evident because it is very important to know formation of Middle english vocabulary and its history to be oriented in learning English Object of our research is Scandinavian and French influence on the vocabulary in Middle English Subject of the course paper is analysis Scandinavian and French influence on the vocabulary in Middle English and its connection with modern changes in the language The main aim of the present research is to study Scandinavian and French influence on the vocabulary in Middle English and its connection with modern changes in the language.
