The theme of the course paper is problem of translating in modern world. Translation is a multidimensional and multifaceted process determined by the System and norm of the two languages, the two cultures, the two communicative situations (the primary and the secondary), the referential situation, the functional parameters of the source text and the translation norm. The aim of the present work is to study the problems of translation in he modern world. To achieve this aim it is necessary to find solve to the following objectives: to define translation through the history of translation and its types, consider what make translation possible, classify some problems in modern Kazakh society, point out the problems of computing translation and difficulties in translating modern promotional texts. The course paper consists of introduction, two chapters, conclusion and bibliography. At the end of the work an appendix is included.
