The goals of this study: to identify the basic principles of adequate translation of comedy films. Objectives:
- to identify the main linguistic aspects of the translation of feature films,
- to provide a theoretical justification for the principles of adequate translation of feature films, based on the work of modern translators, linguists, translators-practitioners.
The object of the study is the translation of modern English-language comedy films as a complex multi-component process.
The material of the study was the existing translations of comedy films and serials.
