The diploma work is titled the «Formative assessment strategies for enhancing pupils' learning in the primary classroom». The purpose of the research work is to analyze the functional potential of formative assessment, which can be used to increase the level of knowledge and motivation in the subject area “Foreign Language” in a secondary school. The author described a variety of information and communication tools and applications such as Google classroom, Menti, Kahoot, Mind Map, Learning Apps, Yandex Class. The research also provides examples and results of the implementation of these techniques at the English lessons. As a result, we concluded that formative assessment help teachers and have positive affects in the learning activities of pupils.
