Cultural Studies has a rightful place as part of language teaching, not as an adjunct to language learning, not just as a means of creating better communication but as an integral component with appropriate aims and methods. It certainly plays a role in language teaching in the sense that words in the foreign language refer to meanings in a particular culture creating a semantic relationship which the learner needs to comprehend. Third, we believe that in Kazakhstan, a country which has a totally different culture from Western culture, knowledge of the target culture is a significant factor in progress to proficiency. It has defined the topicality of the course paper. The aim of the research is to study the formation of communicative competence of students in teaching foreign languages. In order to achieve the aim, we put the following tasks: • To consider general theory of communicative competence; • To study communicative competence in language teaching; • To analyze the effectiveness of information and communication technologies in the formation of communicative competence in teaching foreign language Object of the research is communicative competence of students. Subject of the research is communicative competence of students in teaching foreign languages. The methods of the study include a comparative analysis of the literature on the theory and methodology of foreign language teaching, learning teaching materials on the designated topic and available teaching experience, observation and experiment. This course paper consists of Introduction, 2 Chapters, Conclusion and Bibliography.
